"Get happy — get this paper!" - with that promising strapline, Whoopee! was born in March 1974. It ran to more than 500 issues  before it merged with Whizzer and Chips in March 1985, it was only of the longer-lasting kids' comedy comics from IPC and home to Bookworm, Boy Boss, Calculator Kid, Daisy Jones' Locket, Mustapha Million, The Bumpkin Billionaires, Willy Worry and many, many more! During its existence, it absorbed its stablemates Shiver and Shake, Cheeky, and Wow!, and even after cancellation the  Whoopee! name continued thanks to annuals that were published well into the late 1980s.
